Where In The Bible Will I Find... Teaching About Premillennialism (III)?

Gary Colley

August 2004

This is the third installment on the non-Biblical, man-made doctrine of premillennialism. We believe these studies are needful to open the eyes of those who do not know the kingdom now exists and are, therefore not entering the kingdom today by faith, repentance, confession, and baptism (Jn. 6:28-29; Lk. 13:3, 5; Matt. 10:32-33; Matt. 28:19-20).

How sad that the cause of many missing the blessings in Christ (Eph. 1:3) is their belief in this false denominational theory. We must not fail all who will listen, lest our friends miss heaven. We want all to know the destruction to Bible faith that results when this doctrine is believed.

First, we would have to remove many passages of Scripture, such as First Thessalonians 4:13-18 where Paul blows the "silent rapture" out of existence. These verses have been called the "noisiest verses of the Bible." They teach the Lord will come with a shout, a voice, and a trumpet, all of which are too loud for a "silent rapture."

Second, we must remove Second Thessalonians 1:6-10 because these verses, unlike the premillennial theory, teach the righteous and the unrighteous will be raised at the same time.

Third, First Corinthians 15:24-28 must be removed because these verses teach that when Christ returns it will be the end of the world, and Christ will deliver the kingdom to the Father. He is not coming again to begin the kingdom.

Fourth, Second Peter 3:10-12 must be removed because it says the earth, the heavens and the elements will all melt and be dissolved with a fervent heat. There will be no place for a kingdom to be established, much less continue for "1,000 years" at Christ's second coming.

And, Fifth, if you accept the theory, tear out of your Bible Revelation 1:7 which teaches that when the Lord comes every eye of the righteous and the unrighteous will see Him -- even they that pierced Him.

At least these 20 verses are mutilated by the premillennial theory. How can anyone accept and be blinded by such a doctrine that rejects the teaching of the Bible? Those teaching this false doctrine are among those whom Jesus spoke of as being blind and leading the blind into ruin.
