Where In The Bible Will I Find... That Fellowship With Billy Graham Is Right?

Gary Colley

July 2003

The front page of the Nashville Banner for Oct. 17, 1999 described the Graham Crusade as now more slick and fast-paced than in years gone by. The paper projected that the cost, carried on by a well oiled machine would be $2.5 million for the Nashville crusade. The paper also noted that, like the Oklahoma City Crusade, the event intended to rely heavily on Contemporary Christian music with Christian rock stars to connect with the younger crowd.

But They will Not Hear The Gospel Of Christ

Respondents in Oklahoma City, like those in Nashville, will receive a small booklet and be asked to repeat:
Oh God, I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sins. I am willing to turn from my sins.
And thats it! One may search his Bible through, but he will not find anything close to this, spoken to alien sinners for salvation in the New Testament. Alien sinners in the New Testament are commanded to obey, not pray (Acts 2:38; 22:16). The Lord forbids His people to be a part of Graham's Oklahoma City charade since the Lord's plan of salvation will not be preached (2 John 9-11; Eph. 5:11; Gal. 1:8-9).

What People Will Not Hear From Graham

They will not receive the Lord's words, "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him... And they shall all be taught of God" (John 6:44-45). It will not be said -- as the Lord did -- "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mk. 16:16). They will not hear Hebrews 5:8-9; Titus 2:11-12, or 1 Peter 3:21. Because of this, the Lord forbids Christians to have fellowship with Graham in preaching his false doctrines (2 John 9-11).

The Lord Says No Fellowship

Some who claim to be churches of Christ in Oklahoma City are joining hands with Graham in his crusade there. The website of the Quail Springs Church in Oklahoma City says that church will participate in Graham's crusade. By so doing, they are bidding God speed to error and thereby sinning themselves. Faithful churches of Christ have no fellowship either with Graham or the Quail Springs Church of Christ because the Lord says we are to have no fellowship with error.
