It is a fact that too little Bible study is being done in our present time. For this reason, both young and old are drifting in the world without moral or spiritual chart or compass. Do you regularly read and study your Bible? You can fall from grace (Gal. 5:4) and without daily study one is likely to do just that! The Hebrew writer exhorted those in the first century who were about to apostatize: "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip." (Heb. 2:1). Since we are to be judged by the word of Christ in the hour of eternal judgment (John 12:48) we know that our attitude toward the word of God may determine whether we shall receive "the goodness" or "the severity" of God (Rom. 11:22).
