"Jehovah is salvation" this name proclaims; It is synonymous with three other great names. It was worn with grace by a prophet great, Who prophesied long but met a sad fate. He spoke during the reign of kings — at least four, And wrote a book that also the name bore. Many songs and poems came from his hand, As he told how the Jews would return to their land. Of the promised Messiah he freely wrote, And from him now many preachers quote. He was the father of 2 sons, the husband of one wife; A great statesman, preacher and prophet 'til end of life.
