The churches of Christ salute you. — Romans 16:16

4 New Additions for Winter 2008 - 2009:

THE QUESTION WHICH NEEDS TO BE ASKED
By the grace of God we have His two laws of pardon: the first for the alien sinner, and the second for the Christian who goes astray. Roelf L. Ruffner gets to the heart of this grace with his study of two questions, which elapsing time and impending enternity demand that we ourselves first be asked. Then having acquired the solution, we should carry on to ask others. Do you know where your children are? Do you know where your neighbors are?

HUSSEIN B. OBAMA DECLARES WAR!
World Wars I & II, The Korean War, The Vietnam War, The War on Poverty, The War on Terror, The Afganistan War, The Iraq War, and through and parallel to all of that we continue to be enveloped in the Long War Against God... As for any type of sin, the prescription is the same: Jess Whitlock concludes "The worship of any sinner is not pleasing or acceptable to God until the sinner repents of his sin through complete obedience to the Gospel of Christ." Here he presents the Bible's testimony, teachings, and admonitions against homosexuality.

UNNECESSARY BAGGAGE
While worry is interest you pay on a debt you don't owe, likewise false teaching is an unnecessary burden for anyone to bear. For example, Roelf L. Ruffner explaines "The Gnostics believed that material things, like the human body, were inherently evil. The theologian Augustine used this idea to come up with his doctrine of Original Sin. He said that all people are sinners because of Adam's sin which we inherited, along with the sins of our ancestors. The reformer John Calvin used this false concept to come up with his doctrine of Total Hereditary Depravity." Join Brother Ruffner as he places the scriptures above mens' teaching and traditions, to gain knowledge that enables the sinner to become clean!

TREATING THE SYMPTOMS
"The religious world has a penchant for focusing on the symptom of spiritual disease rather than its cause. The prime symptom is religious division and voices have been raised against this by calling for 'unity.'" Thus begins this examination by Jerry C. Brewer of today's ecumenical trend, which could be called 'No Denomination Left Behind.' Jesus prayed for unity among the members of His church in the Garden of Gethsemane: "That they all may be one" (John 17:21a).

Jesse Sewell cites scriptures revealing the only place where one is a new creature, free of condemnation, having redemption through the blood, the forgiveness of sins, enjoying all spiritual blessings, and where prayers will be heard and answered: Salvation Is Only In Christ.
