Neither Catholic, Protestant, Nor Jew

Neither Catholic, Protestant, Nor Jew
How the member of Christ's church is viewed by the world is like a sound bite. Provision has not been made in an error prone world to rightly divide the scriptures. Dub Mowery gives an early experience in the military. Even when we attempt to teach, many will hurry on their way without a care in the world. But the soul's salvation rests upon the points of Brother Mowery's explanation. Thoughtful study for anyone with an honest, seeking heart.

Faith Alone Is Not Belief In God
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster" (Galations 3:24-25). A. G. Freed demonstrates with 3 verses from the Old Testament book Numbers that many still have not learned the necessary lessons from that schoolmaster. Dead faith is not belief. Succinct power from the Word of God: 2 paragraphs, eternal consequences.

A Dialogue On Sodomy, No. 1
[Editor's Note: This is the first in a series of email dialogues that passed between a Christian and his friend who announced he had embraced the sodomite lifestyle. No names are used in these articles.] Frank discussion, presenting the truth in love.

God's Changeless and Immutable Word
Insight, from Franklin Camp. Build your understanding on the rock of truth which cannot be shaken, else how can you stand against the storms of life? A brief interlude for the seriously contemplative heart.

Christians Are Amenable To Law
Grace not law!! This is the often cry from those who would not be made to follow the commands of our Lord. Josh Haley provides a truly in-depth study of law from the beginning to this day and dispensation. The need for Christ to die weighs in the balance of this question. Recommended.

Man's Responsibility In Salvation
Preston Silcox brings John Calvin up against the scriptures, finding discontinuity as they are at odds to one another. Centuries after Calvin put forth his beliefs, multitudes follow him to the conclusion of all error. If you see things as did he, why not test your convictions against Brother Silcox' Exhibits One through Three, taken from the Holy Writ? You can email him your conclusions.

"It Means What It Says"
Whom do you believe? Jesus, Peter, Ananias, Paul? Or later-century theologians who explain why their commands are not essential to one's salvation? Marvin L. Weir will focus your study on the verses of scripture too often overlooked, avoided, or simply ignored. Is scripture sufficient, wholly sufficient unto man?

When Does God Mean What He Says?
Glorious grace, wonderful grace, grace sufficient to make men whole. But do you have the real thing, or a cheap imitation? "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:24) — for that grace to work one must be in Christ. Wayne Price's brief commentary brings to bear key scriptures and their meaning to the subject question, but this is not a brief study.

On the expulsion of Jesse L. Sewell from the denominational pulpit: Jerry C. Brewer gives an update from David Lipscomb's biography of Brother Sewell. "The most striking thing about the [expulsion] is that the same accusations and complaints against Bible preaching are now coming from our own brethren 150 years later!" If you're standing on the promises you are standing by the book.

Is Israel The Chosen People of God Today? ( reprise )
"Each time there is a new conflict in the Middle East involving Israel numerous references are made regarding the nation being 'the holy land' or 'God's chosen people.' Such remarks reveal the tremendous depth of ignorance of God's Word that exists throughout the world." So begins this fine work by Marvin L. Weir. Twelve false conclusions are listed, followed by a list of 12 multi-scriptural replies. Prophecy students: hear, hear! Recommended!
